PURPOSE: To obtain a coating composition giving coating films resisting to strongly alkaline cleaners, to obtain a fin material produced by applying the coating composition and subsequently baking the coating film, and further to obtain the low cost heat exchanger incorporated with fins composed of the same. ;CONSTITUTION: The coating composition comprises (I) a hydrophilic resin produced by neutralizing or partially neutralizing the acid groups of (A) a copolymer composed of (a) a nitrile group-containing conjugated monomer, (b) a hydroxy group-containing conjugated and/or nonconjugated monomer, (c) a carboxyl group-containing conjugated monomer, (d) a conjugated monomer having 1-6C saturated linear or alicyclic alkyl group, and (f) a phosphoric salt compound, (II) an alkali resistance-imparting agent produced by neutralizing the acid groups of (B) a diester dibasic oxygen acid comprising (g) polyethylene glycol and (h) an organic dibasic oxygen acid with (i) an organic amine compound, and (III) at least one curing agent selected from the group consisting of (C) polyglycidyl ethers.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
