PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the activity of a carbon monoxide shifting catalyst for removing CO in a reformed gas consisting essentially of hydrogen and containing CO to be used for a fuel cell and to provide a hydrogen purification apparatus using the same. PSOLUTION: The hydrogen purification apparatus is composed of a reformed gas supply part for supplying the reformed gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide and a shifting part having a catalytic body 1 for removing CO from the gas supplied from the reformed gas supply part and the catalyst contains Pt and at least one of a metal selected from a group composed of W, Mo and Sn.
