PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging method for reducing the cutting load of a metal valve body, and preventing breakage of a punch.;SOLUTION: The metal valve body component forging method comprises a step of throwing a material 12 in a cavity of a die forming the outline shape of a metal valve body component, a step of inserting a first punch 3 and a second punch 5 integrated with punches 4 and 6 for forming a flow passage facing the material opposite to each other, forming a hole for connection, and filling a material in the cavity, and a step of inserting the punches 4 and 6 for forming the flow passage toward the material 12 after filling the material in the cavity. The volume of the portion of the punches 4 and 6 for forming the flow passage inserted in the material is compensated by the volume of a retracted remaining portion of the first punch 3 and/or the second punch 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
