PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel boring device capable of boring of a tunnel while precisely judging the size and a position of an obstacle existing in the ground by using an acoustic diagnostic method.;SOLUTION: This tunnel boring device is provided with jet nozzles 23 to 26 arranged at a prescribed interval toward the radial direction outside from the radial directional inside on a cutter face plate 20 of an excavating machine 1 and spouting a jet water flow toward an excavating object, a detecting sensor 29 arranged at least in one of the cutter face plate 20 and a partition wall 28 for constituting a sealed chamber 27 by cooperating with the cutter face plate 20 and detecting a crushing sound based on jet water flow ejection of the excavating object and a display means 31 for displaying a rotational directional position of the jet nozzles 23 to 26 and a radial directional position of the jet nozzles 23 to 26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
