Superior stainless steel and its manufacturing method in corrosion resistance against molten salt

PURPOSE: To provide a stainless steel for fuel cells excellent in corrosion resistance to molten carbonate and hot workability even as the content of Cr and Ni is reduced at low cost. ;CONSTITUTION: This stainless steel contains ≤0.1wt.% C, ≤2.0wt.% Mn, 7.5≤ Ni15.0wt.%, 14.0-20.0wt.% Cr, 0.2 Si ≤4.0wt.%, 1.0-4.0wt.% Al, in some instances, further ≤3.0wt.% Cu, :S 3.0 wt.% Mo, ≤1.0wt.% Ti, ≤1.0wt.% Zr, ≤0.5wt.% Y or one kind or more of ≤0.5wt.%, preferably, ≤0.05wt.% REM(rare earth element), satisfies the relationship of Si(%)/Al(%) ≤1.0, preferably, Si(%)/Al(%) ≤0.4 and the balance consists of Fe and inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
