MEANS FOR PREVENTING BITING DAMAGE OF NURSERY STOCK FOR FORESTATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for surely preventing the biting damage of a nursery stock during the period to grow the nursery stock to a young tree (4-5 years) and durable to natural external force in a forestation area of especially a heavy snowfall area or a slope of a mountain.;SOLUTION: The biting damage preventing means is provided with a main body composed of a biodegradable nonwoven fabric surrounding the planted nursery stock as a whole, reinforcing materials inserted into the joint parts at both edges of the main body and a fixing tool to fix the joint parts joined with each other. The reinforcing material is made of a fiber-reinforced resin or a fiber-reinforced biodegradable resin having a flexural strength of ≥490 N and a flexural modulus of ≥24,500 N.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
