PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of smoothly performing a foam separation treatment which forms the foam and separates the formed foam from treatment water containing a foam component. SOLUTION: A foam separation apparatus 120 provided in a wastewater treatment apparatus 100 is provided with a transfer pipe 121 and an air supply pipe 124. As regards the transfer pipe 121, its suction part 122 is disposed on the bottom of the tank, and its foam discharge part 123 is disposed on the top of the tank. When a specified amount of air is fed into the pipe 121 from the pipe 124, the air flow causes the treatment water in the tank to be sucked from the part 122 into the pipe 121 to form a gas/liquid mixed state of air and the treated water. The aeration with the air allows the treatment water to form a foam. The foam is subjected to gas/liquid separation within the pipe 121. The foam in the foam zone is transferred through the pipe 121 to the foam discharge part 123 by the air flow and is passed through a receiving member 125 and is discharged from the system through a discharge port 108.
