PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Al alloy forging in which stress corrosion cracking does not occur in the part of the cut face between a product and a flash or the vicinity thereof even in severe use environments or corrosive environments, and which has high strength and high toughness, and to provide a stock for the forging.;SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy forging comprises 0.6 to 1.8% Mg and 0.4 to 1.8% Si, and further containing one or more kinds of metals selected from 0.01 to 0.6% Mn, 0.1 to 0.2% Cr and 0.1 to 0.2% Zr, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. In the aluminum alloy forging after artificial aging treatment, 0.2% proof stress is ≥300 MPa, and Charpy impact value is ≥10 J/cm2. Further, the maximum in the crystal grain size in a direction vertical to a die parting plane 4 in the structure of a cut face 5a between a product 2 and a flash 3 is ≤400 μm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
