PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate without any problem of saponification treatment associated with a transparent protective film and further with excellent adhesion of a polarizer and the transparent protective film to each other. PSOLUTION: In the polarizing plate comprising the transparent protective film provided on at least one surface of the polarizer via an adhesive layer, the polarizing plate is characterized by having an application layer composed of partially saponified polyvinyl acetate with 50 mol % or lower saponification degree formed on a surface of the transparent protective film to be stuck to the polarizer and further having the adhesive layer formed with an adhesive containing an isocyanate type adhesive.
