PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic/inorganic composite pigment composed of an organic inorganic composite particle powder which prevents falling of from the organic pigment from the surface of a white inorganic particle and is free of harmful elements, and a coating material and a resin composition which contain the pigment. ;SOLUTION: The organic/inorganic composite particle has an average diameter of 0.01-10.0 m and comprises a white inorganic particle whose surface is coated with a sizing agent and adhered an organic pigment. The pigment is in an amount of 1-500 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. white inorganic particle. The composite particle is obtained by mixing and stirring the white inorganic particle with the sizing agent and then adding the organic pigment, mixing and stirring to adhere the organic pigment on the surface of the coated sizing agent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
