PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of the damage and abnormal sound of a disk occurring in the reckless movement of the disk by a gyro effect.;SOLUTION: The disk drive unit is provided with a means for detecting a vehicle speed and a means for regulating the rotating speed of the disk according to the output of this detecting means. The disk drive unit performs reproducing by setting the rotating speed of the disk at a high double speed (step 23) when the vehicle speed is zero and performs reproducing by setting the rotating speed of the disk at a low double speed when the vehicle speed is not zero (step 24).
