PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-phase line-start synchronous motor, whose driving efficiency of the motor is improved, and allows a compact structure and reducing the manufacturing cost. ;SOLUTION: The single-phase line-start synchronous motor is constituted of a rotor 31, which includes a rotor core 43 connected to the outer peripheral surface of a rotary shaft 32, a plurality of permanent magnets 45 which are inserted into the rotor core 43 in the direction of rotary-shaft, and are disposed separated from each other in the circumferential direction, and a secondary conductor 47 inserted between respective salient parts 46 of the rotor core 43 in the direction of rotary-shaft; a stator 11 which is positioned on the outer circumferential surface of the rotor 31 with a predetermined gap; a first housing 35, through which the rotary shaft 32 is penetrated; and a second housing 37 which is connected to one side of the first housing 35.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
