PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost a paperboard which uses the deinked reclaimed pulp of magazine waste paper and has the same discoloration degree due to the irradiation of UV light as that of general coated paperboard.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the paperboard for packaging comprises using waste paper pulp obtained by disintegrating and cleaning the magazine waste paper, compounding a sizing agent and a paper-strengthening agent for reinforcing the paper strength of the surface layer of the paperboard, and coating the paperboard with a coating containing a white pigment as a main component in an amount of about 8 g/m² with a coating machine disposed in a paper machine in a process for making the paper.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
