PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based decontaminating treating agent excellent in coating property and facilitating removal of various pollutants attached to a base for wall paper, or the like, by applying the treating agent to the base for wall paper, or the like.;SOLUTION: The water-based treating agent is obtained by dissolving and dispersing (1) a polyvinyl alcohol, (2) a hydrophobic polymer having a film- forming ability, (3) a silicone-modified acrylic polymer, (4) an inorganic filler and (5) a silicone oil into an aqueous medium.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
