PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic training course generating device which can automatically generate a training course suitable for a user corresponding to the purpose of training.;SOLUTION: A condition input picture is displayed on a display section 17, and a user inputs a place of start and a place of arrival and prescribed conditions corresponding to the purpose of training. The prescribed conditions includes at least required time from the place of start to the place of arrival and in addition, in the driving training for example, the traffic volume, the number of crossings, etc. The training course from the place of start to the place of arrival is retrieved from map data stored in a map database 13b based on the input conditions, and the training course obtained as a retrieval result in displayed on the display section 17. Thus, the training course suitable for the user can be easily obtained without the need to look for the training course using a map. In this case, when required time in accordance with the physical strength or skills of the user is specified as a condition, the optimal training course for the required time can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
