PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute contents to further more clients by optimally controlling the maximum simultaneous connections by considering the number of contents that are simultaneously being read from a hard disk.;SOLUTION: Information including the number of contents that are currently being distributed from a streaming-distributing apparatus and the number of current connection clients is collected when a new distribution is requested from a client, and it is determined whether distribution can be made or not according to the collected information and information on the maximum simultaneous distribution number characteristics of the streaming-distributing apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
