PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing surrogate system, a printing surrogate method, and a printing surrogate program to print a printing document file by a printing device without need for a user to install an application or software into a customer terminal.;SOLUTION: In this printing surrogate system, printing information from the customer terminal is received by a printing surrogate facility through a network, and printing is performed by the printing device connected to the network based on the printing information. The printing surrogate facility provides printing setting information to the customer terminal, and receives the printing information from the customer terminal. It then reads the printing document file designated by the printing information, starts the application corresponding to the printing document file, and forms printing data to be sent to the printing device through the network. It also forms printing situation information to be sent to a storage part, while the printing device makes output to a printing medium based on the printing data from a processing part of the printing surrogate facility.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
