PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and the like for supporting preparation of present topographic status map that effectively uses auxiliary data for indicating the present situation in the form of a digital image, when topographic survey outdoors is formed into data and the data is brought to a working site to prepare the present topographic status map by a computer-aided design means.;SOLUTION: In this system and method, the present topographic status map is prepared by the computer-aided design means 18, based on survey data, after processing processes such as a process for acquiring the survey data by a topographic surveying means 9, a process for forming a digital image by a topographic image digitalizing means 13, and a process for making a correlation clear by a correlation forming means 17 for the survey data, the digital image and the like, and the diagram preparing work is carried out referring to visual information corresponding to the survey data, when graphic construction work is carried out by the computer-aided design means 18. The visual information is reflected properly in the construction work to prepare the detail and accurate present topographic status map. The topographic image digitalizing means 13, a magnetic direction measuring instrument 42 and a level 43 are integrated to a measuring pole 10, as this topographic surveying instrument of the present invention.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
