PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a stain-resistant mat coating composition capable of affording a mat film exhibiting excellent stain-resistant properties and a method for forming the mat film. ;SOLUTION: This stain-resistant mat coating composition comprises a hydroxy group-containing fluorine-containing resin, a polyisocyanate compound and a silicate compound, silica particles and resin particles and the total amount of the silica particles and resin particles is 0.1-200 wt.% based on the coating solids. The method for forming the mat film is characterized by coating a substrate with the stain-resistant mat coating composition and forming the mat film.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
