PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave element employing a base of a crystal material, an electric signal processing apparatus employing the element, and an environment assessment apparatus employing the processing apparatus.;SOLUTION: An annular surface 211 is formed along a path (a) on an equator using a Z axis of the spherical crystal base 210 as an earth's axis. Comb-shaped electrodes 223 face each other on the surface 211. When an input signal is inputted into the electrodes 223 from a transmitter 226, a surface acoustic wave (SAW) propagating along the surface 211 is excited. An output signal according to the SAW is inputted into a digital oscilloscope 228. When an input signal with a mixed frequency band is inputted, a specific frequency component is outputted.
