PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw rotor, a screw compressor equipped with the screw rotor, and a method of manufacturing the screw rotor, wherein the total heat insulating efficiency of the screw compressor is improved, and reliability is also improved because a metal shaft and a resin layer are firmly and tightly connected so as not to be separated.;SOLUTION: The metal-resin composite type screw rotor wherein the periphery of the metal shaft 16 of a male rotor and a female rotor meshed with each other is covered with the resin layer 21, is provided with recesses on the surface of the metal shaft 16 at the meshed part of the male rotor and female rotor. The recess is formed in reverse taper shape wider in cross section toward the bottom part from the surface, and the metal shaft 16 and the resin layer 21 are engaged at the reverse taper shape part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
