PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust a propulsion distance and a propulsion speed of a long article, and also to restrain trouble and cost necessary for work.;SOLUTION: The long article is propelled by this long article propulsion device 10 provided with: a carriage 13 for mounting the long article 4; a guide 12 extended in a direction for advancing the carriage 13 for guiding the carriage; a telescopic means 17 mounted to the carriage 13 and extended and contracted behind the mounting position for moving the carriage; a receiving member 14 movable with respect to the guide 12, positioned and fixed to the guide 12 at a desired position in an extension direction of the guide 12, and brought into contact with the rear end of the telescopic means 17; and a carriage stopper for positioning and fixing the carriage 13 to the guide 12 at a desired position in the extension direction of the guide 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
