PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a flow controller for controlling a flow rate linearly in a supply passage of inflow fluid in a booster pump device. ;SOLUTION: The booster pump incorporates an electric motor M, and feeds fluid by actuating a diaphragm 9 with an intake and an exhaust valve by means of an eccentric cam 7 fixed to a rotary shaft of the motor to continuously develop suction from an inflow connection pipe 2 and discharge from an outflow connection pipe 6. A joint part of the inflow connection pipe 2 or the outflow connection pipe 3 houses a flow control mechanism incorporating a conical piece fitted closely in an inflow connection pipe opening 2 or an outflow connection pipe opening 6 to interrupt the fluid passing in the connection pipes, and an adjusting member 5 for urging the conical piece 3 into a normal closing position. The position of the conical piece is changed against the interrupting force of the adjusting member 5 through control of suction pressure or discharge pressure by an operation of the diaphragm 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
