PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide case base inferring method and device capable of automatically extracting suitable past trouble cases similar to a new trouble case and quickly aiding the investigation of a cause generating the trouble and the determination of a dealing method.;SOLUTION: Process data obtained from a monitored target are qualitatively processed, similarity between the obtained qualitative data and that of all cases is calculated and the case data of cases having fixed similarity out of all the cases are extracted in the descending order of similarity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
