PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex system capable of recovering not only hardware faults but also software faults including software defects to correct states.;SOLUTION: The system is provided with two systems a preceding system 101 and a succeeding system 102, and input data are directly inputted to the preceding system 101 and operated. The succeeding system 102 temporarily stores the input data in an input data buffer 103, and after checking that the output result of the input data inputted to the preceding system 101 is obtained without generating a fault by a preceding system normal end detection/ succeeding system start control part 107, reads out the input data stored in the buffer 103 and starts operation. The output result of the preceding system 101 is stores in an output data buffer 104, and after obtaining an output result from the succeeding system 102, a comparator 105 compares both the output results to decide their coincidence. When both the output results coincide with each other, an output gate 106 is opened and the output result is outputted to the external. When a fault is generated in the preceding system 101, the state of the succeeding system 102 is copied to recover the state of the preceding system 101.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
