PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding die for an expansion-molded article, which can improve the quality of the molded article by favorably keeping the expansion-molding property, can provide stability, and can reduce the removing and cleaning works for burrs and an accumulated mold release agent; and a manufacturing method for the expansion-molded article using the die. PSOLUTION: This molding die 10 for an expansion-molded article is formed of an upper die 12 and a lower die 11, and is equipped with a cavity 15. Then, on the joining surface of at least one of the upper die 12 and the lower die 11, a rectangular slit 16 for gas purging is provided. An expanded raw material M is fed into the cavity 15, and the expanding raw material M is expanded and molded by sealing the cavity 15. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
