PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevating device of a toilet seat or toilet lid simple in structure and easy to be operated, capable of obtaining smooth elevating operation without looseness in the longitudinal and lateral directions to a guide rail in a slider cantilever-supporting the toilet seat or toilet lid.;SOLUTION: The guide rail is provided with a first guide surface disposed with a gradient to a plate part of a slider and a second guide surface disposed at an acute angle to the first guide surface. The slider is provided with a first sliding contact surface disposed with a gradient to the plate part and brought into sliding contact with the guide surface and a second sliding contact surface brought into sliding contact with the second guide surface. Either the slider or the guide rail is provided with a pressing means for pressing the inclined first guide or first sliding contact surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
