METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PREVENTING ATTACHMENT OF MARINE ORGANISM TO STRUCTURE BUILT ON OCEAN AND CORROSION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing attachment of marine organisms to a marine environmental structure and corrosion thereof, capable of preventing the attachment and the corrosion caused by rust, or capable of retarding them as far as possible, so that the lifetime of the structure is extended.;SOLUTION: This method for preventing the attachment of the marine organisms to the marine environmental structure and the corrosion thereof comprises constituting the structure which is built on the ocean by using plural structural members 11A, 11B which are electrically insulated from each other, applying ultrasonic vibration to the plural structural members 11A, 11B with an ultrasonic vibrator 103, and further applying a voltage supplied from an electric source to the plural structural members 11A, 11B after connecting a waveform control circuit 222 as the electric source to the plural structural members 11A, 11B so that the members act as electrodes. A voltage containing an alternating voltage component which synchronizes with a vibration waveform of the applied ultrasonic vibration is preferably used as the applied voltage.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
