PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a device and a program for calculating a feature for each area which provide information corresponding to needs of each area by utilizing retrieval input information sum-up records for which retrieval input information inputted to a retrieval system by an access origin is summed up. SOLUTION: The device 1 for calculating the feature for each area which extracts feature information of the area where the access origin is present by utilizing the retrieval input information sum-up records for which the retrieval input information inputted by the access origin accessing the retrieval system interposed in a network is summed up in the retrieval system is provided with a retrieval input information sum-up record extraction means 3, access origin present area specifying means 5 and 7, a means 9 for generating a retrieval formula for each area, a means 11 for extracting the feature information for each area and a means 13 for outputting and displaying the feature information for each area.
