PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address information management system, a mail forwarding system, an address information management method and a mail forwarding method capable of reducing burdens accompanying the address change procedure of an address changing person himself/herself in the case of changing an address and reducing the burdens of the work of a company and a group related to a user and especially a post office forwarding mail. SOLUTION: The server 21 of an address information management center 20 receives a notice of address change information from the terminal 11 of the address changing person 10 through a communication network 1. In the server 21 of the address information management center, registration to a data base 31 of the address change information is turned to a temporary holding state, a double postal card for individual confirmation is mailed to the address of the user, a reply postcard from the address changing person 10 is received, and after an individual is confirmed, the address change information is registered to the data base 31. By utilizing the address change information registered in the address information management data base 31, for instance, the address of the mail is collated with the address change information and the ratio of the forwarding of the mails is reduced.
