COMPOSITION FOR FORMATION OF SURFACE PROTECTIVE LAYER OF ORGANIC PHOTORECEPTOR AND ORGANIC PHOTORECEPTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for the formation of a surface protective layer of an organic photoreceptor with improved adhesion strength and excellent wear resistance and electric characteristics, and to provide an organic photoreceptor.;SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor is composed of a conductive supporting body, a photosensitive layer formed on the surface of the conductive supporting body, and a surface protective layer formed by coating the surface of the photosensitive layer with the composition for the formation of the surface protective layer containing an organic silane compound, an alcohol-soluble polymer and a solvent and then heat treating the composition. As for the alcohol-soluble polymer, one or more kinds selected from a group comprising polyvinylbutyral, polyamide and polyurethane is used. As for the solvent, a cosolvent of water and one or more alcoholic solvents selected from a group comprising methanol, ethanol, butanol and isopropanol is used.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
