MASKING AGENT AND COSMETIC COMPRISING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a masking agent capable of suppressing a substrate odor caused by a cosmetic raw material and a deteriorated odor with time and having excellent effects without affecting note of a perfume even when the perfume is used in combination and a cosmetic comprising the masking agent. SOLUTION: This masking agent comprises a sage oil obtained by carrying out steam distillation of a leaf of Salvia officinalis L. (the sage) of the family Labiatae. The cosmetic comprises the masking agent.
