PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the automatic setting of the necessity of power supply corresponding to intensity of satellite broadcast waves and a plurality of polarized waves, and sure reception of satellite broadcasts without special knowledge and understanding about the kind of an antenna 10 for satellite broadcast reception, antenna connection system, etc.;SOLUTION: This system is equipped with the antenna 10 for satellite broadcast reception which converts a circularly polarized radio wave to a linearly polarized satellite broadcast wave, and amplifies the broadcast wave or outputs the broadcast wave after conversion as it is, and a satellite broadcast receiver 30 which is connected with the antenna 10, and receives the satellite broadcast wave amplified by the antenna 10 or the satellite broadcast wave obtained from the antenna as it is. The receiver 30 detects whether the satellite broadcast wave may be received, decides whether power supply to the antenna 10 is necessary on the basis of the detection result, and executes the control of power supply to the antenna 10 on the basis of the decision result.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
