PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform the spatter removing work with a simple structure without requesting any high positioning accuracy. ;SOLUTION: A reamer part 23c provided on an upper part of a spatter removing reamer 23 erected rotatably by a motor 22 is tapered in an upwardly contracting manner from the middle thereof. When a gas nozzle 9 provided on a tip of a torch body 4 continuously provided on a welding robot is lowered from a part immediately above the reamer part 23c and inserted, the tip of the reamer part 23c can be passed through a gas feed space formed in the gas nozzle 9 since the tip of the reamer part 23c is tapered even if the axis of the gas nozzle 9 is slightly deviated from the axis of the reamer part 23c. The spatter removing reamer 23 is rotated by a speed control motor 22, and passed through while removing the spatter deposited in the gas feed space, and the inner circumference of the gas nozzle 9 is moved in the direction with which the axis is coincident while guided by a tapered surface of the reamer part 23c as the reamer is passed through.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
