PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for the functional evaluation of a seat by using a sitting/travelling fatigue evaluation method for evaluating the fatigue affecting the body of a passenger sitting on a seat of a running vehicle.;SOLUTION: The evaluation simulator for a seat of a vehicle comprises a displacement sensor 8, a vibrator device 4, an acceleration sensor 7, an operating part 54, and an evaluating part 55. The displacement sensor 8 is for measuring the quantity of flexure in a part corresponding to the back of the passenger's body sitting on the seat 3 and the quantity of flexure in a part corresponding to the thigh parts of the passenger's body. The vibrator device 4 is for putting the seat in the condition when the vehicle is running. The acceleration sensor 7 is for measuring the rate of change of the left/right acceleration in the 2-4 Hz range of the head of the passenger's body in the vehicle running condition and the upper/lower acceleration in the 1-2 Hz range of the seat. The operating part 54 is for calculating the fatigue of the passenger's body sitting/travelling on the seat of the running vehicle based on the measured flexure quantities, the rate of change of the left/right acceleration and the upper/lower acceleration.
