PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifogging coating that can form an transparent antifogging coating film having excellent spreadability, antifogging properties, water resistance and heat resistance without vaporizing any organic solvent in the coating and drying operation. SOLUTION: The antifogging coating comprises an aqueous emulsion that includes =50 mass %, in the solid basis, of the fine particles of the copolymer from (A) lipophilic monomers, for example, (meth)acrylic ester monomers and styrene monomers, (B) a monomer represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1 is H or methyl; R2 is H or methyl; n is an integer of =4) and (C) a monomer that is an alkali metal salt of sulfonic acid and copolymerizable with the components (A) and (B) with the composition ratio of 30-75 mass % of (A), 10-35 mass % of (B) and 3-30 mass % of (C).
