PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition excellent in storage stability and exhibiting excellent performances in hardening properties, hot water resistance and the like in the manufacture of a hot-press molded article using a lignocellulose-based material, and in particular when used in combination with a low-formaldehyde resin, and to provide a method for manufacturing the hot- press molded article.;SOLUTION: The adhesive composition for a lignocellulose-based hot-press molded article comprises an organic polyisocyanate (A) and a carboxylic acid (B) having a solubility in water at 20°C of at least 40 g/100 ml.
