PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce the whole bridge to have earthquake-resistance only by a reinforcing measure to superstructure works, and to substantially eliminate reinforcement to substructure works.;SOLUTION: In a bridge structure composed of bridge girders 4 and 5 and the substructure works 1 to 3, a cable 7 for controlling vibrations connected to the bridge girders 4 and 5 along the bridge-girder direction is disposed preferably at the inertia-force working places of the bridge girders 4 and 5. The cable 7 for controlling vibrations is continued substantially in the sections of the bridge girders 4 and 5, and both-side end sections are anchored onto a ground respectively.
