UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY WITH POWER LINE COMMUNICATION FUNCTION AND POWER SUPPLY METHOD IN POWER LINE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply with a power line communication function and a power supply method in a power line communication system convenient for building up a wiring system in an office floor.;SOLUTION: The power line communication router 1 is connected to a terminal 4 via a receptacle 2 with a LAN switch function. The power line communication router 1 issues an IP address to each terminal 4 so that the range of IP addresses is not in duplicate via the receptacle 2 with the LAN switch function. The receptacle 2 with the LAN switch function gives one issued IP address to one terminal 4. Further, the power line communication router 1 is provided with an inter-network routing function for IP packets. Moreover, the receptacle 2 with the LAN switch function has a switching function of the IP packets. A UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) 3 with a power line communication function separately supplies power and an information signal to the terminals 4 and acts like an uninterrupted power supply.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
