PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure revolution rate and the direction of rotation axis by specifying the posture of a sphere regardless of the status of a photographed picture.;SOLUTION: A plurality of two-dimensional pictures are obtained by photographing, a plurality of times, the sphere with a plurality of marks on the surface and on the other hand, an virtual sphere similar to the sphere is formed in a three-dimensional space with a computer to match the virtual sphere with a reference posture to the posture of the ball picture. At this moment, an optimum displacement is determined by using an operation with a genetic algorithm.
