PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-sensitivity current meter fit for a purpose of evaluating soundness of a water pipe network of waterworks.;SOLUTION: An insertion type electromagnetic current meter has a sensor part for measuring a flow velocity of a fluid to be measured in the pipe and a supporting part having a transmission line for transmitting measured values obtained by the sensor part to the outside. The sensor part is inserted into the pipe from an opening of the pipe to measure the flow velocity of the fluid to be measured. The sensor part has a measurement passage inside a casing of the sensor part. The measurement passage penetrates in parallel to a flow direction of the fluid to be measured. Accordingly, the current meter is made compact, less generates a Karman's vortex and prevents the sensor from oscillation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
