PAINT COMPOSITION FOR AUTOMOBILE PART, METHOD FOR FORMING PAINT FILM AND AUTOMOBILE PART

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a paint composition for automobile parts capable of obtaining a paint film excellent in stain resistance without generating cloudiness and cracks in the obtained paint film, and provide a method for forming the paint film and automobile parts. ;SOLUTION: The paint composition for automobile parts consists of a resin composition comprising an acrylic polyol resin and a silicate-modified acrylic resin, a main ingredient containing 0.1-10 wt.% methyl silicate condensation product based on the solid component of the resin composition, and a curing agent containing a polyisocyanate compound. The weight ratio of the solid component of the acrylic polyol resin to that of the silicate modified acrylic resin is preferably 60:40-90:10. The method for forming a paint film is to apply the aforesaid paint composition for automobile parts to automobile parts to form the paint film.
