GRADIENT MAGNETIC FIELD GENERATING COIL AND MAGNETIC FIELD GENERATING DEVICE FOR MRI

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI magnetic field generating device which is produced at a low cost without deteriorating a magnetic characteristic by simplifying constitution apparatuses in magnetic polar pieces which are incorporated in the device. SOLUTION: A gradient magnetic field generating coil is used for the MRI magnetic field generating device including a plurality of magnetic field adjusting holes (17), a coil conductor and a resin board. The device is also provided with a pair of permanent magnets which are opposed by forming a gap between them and magnetized in a thickness direction and the magnetic polar pieces (7) which are arranged on the facing surfaces of the permanent magnets and have circumferential projections so that a uniform magnetic field uniform space is generated between the magnetic polar pieces. The device is also provided with gradient magnetic field generating means (9) which are arranged in the magnetic polar pieces and where mechanisms (17) for adjusting nonuniformity in the magnetic field of the magnetic field uniform space are disposed.
