PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compensation method for tooth trace correction and/or tooth trace deviation of a gear applicable to an element having a complicated shape and high degree specifications.;SOLUTION: Compensation of correction of a left tooth flank 3 and a right tooth flank 4 of the gear 1 and/or tooth trace deviation is independently determined by tooth flank measurement in continuous generating cutting of the tooth flank of the gear 1. Supplementation operation of an NC axis over tooth width of the left tooth flank 3 and the right tooth flank 4 of the gear 1 of a tooth flank cutting device is calculated in a control system of the gear tooth flank cutting device from this data. Tooth trace having correction and/or compensation set on the left and right tooth flanks 3, 4 of the gear 1 is formed by the same cutting stroke by this supplementation operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
