PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a correction method for the color measuring position of printed matter for measuring the color of an arbitrary position of printing paper during running while putting the merit of a system using one color measuring sensor to practical use.;SOLUTION: In this correction method for the color measuring position of printed matter, the inspection image for inspecting the behavior of printing paper during running is printed on a blank part and the printed inspection image is measured by the color measuring sensor to correct the fluctuations of the position of a printing pattern due to the behavior of the printing paper. The inspection image is designed so that the size of the image entering the measuring region of the color measuring sensor changes corresponding to the position of the printing paper and the movement of the printing paper is captured as the density change of the color measuring sensor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
