PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sway-resisting method for an apparatus suspended from ceiling and sway-resisting fittings, which can be easily attached to an air conditioner, enabling earthquake-resistance in its simple structure, and effective utilization of the upper space. SOLUTION: The sway-resisting fittings comprise fitting metals 3 with sway- resisting fittings attached to the ceiling, rods 5 having a length La to be selected in accordance with attachment position of the air conditioner 51, and fitting metals 3 with sway-resisting fittings attached to the lower side of the rods 5. The fittings 1 are selected in accordance with the position of the air conditioner, and allow attachment of the air conditioner 61 at a predetermined distance from the ceiling 65 by the rods 5 arranged in a plurality of parallel rows.
