PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine height measuring device for a surveying machine which lightly load a worker and can easily and exactly measure without much experience and expertise.;SOLUTION: The height measuring device for a surveying machine comprises a laser distance measuring part 2 casting a laser light, receiving a reflected laser light and calculating the light path distance, and a rectangular prism 12 for directing the laser light cast from the laser distance measuring part 2 to a measurement reference point P, directing the reflected laser light to the distance measuring part 2 and bringing close the light axis of an optical centrifugal mechanism of the measuring machine and a part of two way paths of the laser light.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
