PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an apparatus and a method for display, capable of displaying in such a display method appropriate to each information and easy to understand contents, even if much information is displayed on a single screen.;SOLUTION: A display change input device 1 specifies individual display methods for a plurality of types of data and a synchronous change input device 2 specifies synchronous data, i.e., data types matching the display methods. A display change input device 3 receives specifications of the display methods and of the synchronous data, updates synchronous relation database 5 and determines the data types for the display change. A display change performing device 4 updates a display status database 6, by matching the display methods of the synchronous data types stored into the database 5 to the specified display methods for the data according to the determination. The display change performing device 4 outputs contents in a display status database 6 as change commands for display statuses to display devices 7, on which the display methods to be changed to display in parallel the plurality of types of the data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
