PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester highly containing a manganese compound which is necessary to manufacture a polytrimethlene terephthalate polyester fiber having an improved light resistance.;SOLUTION: The polyester highly containing a manganese compound contains a manganese compound in the amount of 150 ppm or more and 10,000 ppm or less in terms of manganese.
