COMPOSITION HAVING CRISIS INHIBITION ACTION AND CURE ACTION ON FATTY LIVER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition having the crisis inhibition action and cure action on fatty liver by culturing Bacillus natto by using barley Shochu distillation residue as the medium; and to provide a method for producing the same. PSOLUTION: The composition having the crisis inhibition action and cure action on fatty liver and comprising a liquid component substantially not containing Bacillus natto belonging to Bacillus subtilis is produced by subjecting a barley Shochu distillation residue produced as a byproduct in producing Shochu (distilled alcoholic liquor in Japan) from barley as the raw material to solid-liquid separation to give a liquid component containing amino acids, polyphenols, organic acids, and glycerol, then adding an alkali to the liquid component to substantially neutralize the acids contained in the liquid component to give a prepared liquid, culturing Bacillus natto by using the prepared liquid as the medium to give a culture solution, and subjecting the culture solution to solid-liquid separation.
